2022 last minute Christmas decor idea!

Christmas is approaching, but have you made adequate holiday preparations? I’m certain you are. You’ve probably also completed the majority of your holiday house décor, I’m sure. But isn’t that not the case? You can never have enough Christmas decorations; there always seems to be room for one more. Check out these quick ideas for adorning your home with flair.

Rethink Your Color Scheme

Red and green aren’t the only colours used in Christmas decorations. Consider mauves, blues, browns, and textures that will remind guests of comfortable cabins or snow-covered woodlands (think: a bowl of pinecones or a vase of dyed botanicals). You may place these anywhere in the room, whether on top of a coffee table or on a bookshelf.

Make a Garland

Whether you choose real leaves or artificial, a garland of greenery can pick up the mood in any area. Drape a garland down the railing, drape one over a bookcase or wall, or affix one to a window frame. Of course, fresh foliage smells the best, but artificial garlands may be reused over and over again.

Fill the Shelves

The ideal blank canvas for adding holiday décor is a bookshelf, or really any kind of shelf. Replace your year-round basics with glass trees, baubles, lights, garlands, and miniature festive sculptures. It’s a quick method to make room for decorations when you don’t have much time to do anything else, and it seems like you spent hours curating it (even if it only takes you 20 minutes).

Use Wire Lights to Make Everything Festive

You can make almost anything look more enchanted for the season by using battery-operated fairy lights. Outline a basic star with lights to create a glittering focal point. Wrap the lights around a wreath or a houseplant, or run them down a wall or table centrepiece. Tip: Hide power packs for lights beneath a potted plant, a candle or whatever else you have as part of the show. Slip the pack into a little drawstring pouch for more open layouts.

Now that your home feels festive, it’s time to embrace your other favorite Christmas traditions: baking Christmas cookies, singing holiday songs and watching your favorite holiday movies. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!
